Seize the Sky on iBooks Soon

I've started porting my book, Seize the Sky: A Builder's Guide to Model Rocketry, to the iBooks format for the Apple iPad. I was originally against the idea of doing this because I really like the feel of a real book. However, the latest version of iBooks has added many new features and the iBooks Author program makes the creation of iBooks much easier so I thought I'd give it a try.

Early Christmas

I have recently received a nice selection of kits from the good people at SEMROC so I will be starting a series of build articles on the site very shortly. These build articles will be in a format similar to what was included in the printed version of the magazine and in my book. Currently the build queue includes a selection of rockets from SEMROC, Red Arrow, Newway and Estes. Check back from time to time to see what is new.

I'm currently working on my 1:70th scale NASA series that includes a Mercury-Redstone, Mercury-Atlas, Gemini-

My latest project

I've recently received some email asking what I've been doing while LAUNCH has been on hiatus. The answer is that I've been very busy building rockets and writing about them. The down time at the magazine has given me some extra time to build and photograph the new models that I'm building for my rocketry book. Some of you are

1:12 Scale Mercury-Redstone Update

I just returned from Mitchell where I dropped off my 1:12 scale Mercury-Redstone model at its new home - The Virgil I Grissom Museum in Spring Mill State Park. The museum is currently closed for remodeling but I was able to go inside at get a look at what they are doing. The new Museum will fill the entire building and the Molly Brown will be moved to
