1:12 Scale Mercury-Redstone Update
I just returned from Mitchell where I dropped off my 1:12 scale Mercury-Redstone model at its new home - The Virgil I Grissom Museum in Spring Mill State Park. The museum is currently closed for remodeling but I was able to go inside at get a look at what they are doing. The new Museum will fill the entire building and the Molly Brown will be moved to
floor level for easier viewing. My model will be displayed along with an incredible number of items donated by the Grissom Family. The museum is scheduled to reopen in April with a Grand Re-opening scheduled in July. It's a must visit exhibit for anyone interested in the early US Space Program.
