LAUNCH Parties
From My Workbench - 10/2011
Greetings Rocket Hobbyists!
It has been a really long time since I've sat at the keyboard and tried to write something other than computer code so I'm pretty rusty at this. Hopefully everyone hasn't gone away since we announced that we would be doing an online version of LAUNCH Magazine, but I suppose it's not too surprising if many of you did, given the
delays. As most of you know this will be a side project for Mark Mayfield, me and anyone else we can drag kicking and screaming into the fold. Because of that, it gets a low priority when compared to real life issues such as family, health and job needs. That's why things have been pretty slow so far.
The good news is that I've recently completed the programming project that has been monopolizing my time for the better part of a year so I'll now have some time (for awhile) to address some the the needs of the site. I started this morning by getting all of the 2008 issues of LAUNCH Magazine into usable PDF files and posting them. You can find links to them on the home page for now.
I also plan to do a couple of builds over the next few weeks and I plan to post write-up of them here. I've got several new Semroc, Estes and Red Arrow kits to work with so it should be a lot of fun.
